Hello to all you hot + fired up burners out there! The time for burning the WickerMan is coming up, and we need volunteers! Your energy makes this event what it is. With the turnout for our first year being an indication of success, this year will be bigger and everyone who can help out will be greatly appreciated.
We are definitely looking to increase the quantity of Rangers to keep up with the projected growth of attendees. Don't be shy.. you get a cool rake and the adoration of the staff who won't have to get out the implements of destruction to pick up a half ton of garbage! (ha ha)
With more attendees comes more time at the gate for registration. I would love to see more smiling joyous people here at the office as Greeters to welcome everyone to the event, and assist with the registration process so its quick and painless (except for the branding of the wristbands).
Of course, the Man needs to be built, so if you have a talent for high-wire hammer swinging, please come to the setup weekend.
The Fire Conclave performers will need assistance; if you're interested in being up close and personal with the spinning flames please step up. Specific info about this to come.

Hi! I will be attending the burn this may, and would love to help out. I will *most likely* be able to make it out for setup, in which case I will be able to help with construction. I can weld and do most manual instrumentals, and I'm light so even a fairy could hoist me. Event week I would help with greeting and ranging. I visited the farm last summer for Gaian mind and Miss Ariel is a dear friend who has been known to direct me towards the truth in the past. I'm sure I will do you well!

I am interested in getting involved as a staffing intern. How does one get started? I was talking to Rosalie at the moon service about helping in the kitchen

I'm mostly inquiring about kitchen duty because I'm not certain I'll be able to afford to attend otherwise. I'll be happy to be a ranger as well. Last year I became staff and worked some events; I don't mind missing most of it as a result ;) |

Anything I can do to help, let me know. If there are brochures I can distribute, I will take them to the Grove, to the Lodge, and to Ecumenicon and to any other event I go to over the next few months. I'm also willing to be a Ranger or do the Greeting thing. Whatever I can do to help.

James ! Many thanks for the headsup in the kitchen. It will run the same as last time. We have to prepare staff meals only. They are simple and to the point. No fancy 3 course meals this time.Just brunch and dinner. I think we will only need one other person maybe two to bang this one out. But we will take all the help we can get. That way we can enjoy the festivities and watch the burn. Sound good to you? Works for me. And we will have Miss Ivy baking bread......YUM. |

Kate I saw a volunteer here today somewhere. If possible I would like him for kitchen duty. Not sure if the intern thing helps for this one. But maybe we can help him out somehow so he can come. We can share him as kitchen staff and ranger if need be I won't be greedy. Let me know ! |

Sorry you haven't heard from me as of late. I have still been trying to keep up on my share of sites. Some crazy driver hit our car on 95 about a month ago twisting up my and my fiance's spine up, so we've been dealing with attorneys for the auto accident, mixed in with my work comp case. I want to apologize for this interfering with how much I have been able to get done. I will still be working on my share, and we are registered for Wickerman. Hopefully all works out between now and Wickerman. Can't wait to escape the chaos! Blessings
