I liked having more than one sound camp. I think it's ideal to have different dj's spinning at the same time. Variety is the spice of life.

So I think it's just a question of how to organize the sound camps so they don't have music clash and that they have access to power, that's all:-)

It wasn't a problem for me, but I did hear from a bunch of people that the music interfered with their sleep, so maybe we need a clear policy on sound turn down?

I agree, sound town should have a clear late night sound turn down.
But the reality is if you camp next to the area labeled as sound town, don't expect to not hear music wile you are trying to sleep, it's just common sense. I think we should have a quiet area for campers who have a problem with late night music!

UMMT PRESENTS: SPHINX OF BLACK QUARTZ, JUDGE MY VOW...
HELP UMMT, HELP YOU!!!!!!:

Remarkably difficult costuming involving two people/AUDIENCE that requires literal on-site mobile collaboration; both participants have to rely on and be hyper aware of each other in order to perform physical acts that revolve around weight/counter weight, trust, duration, and stamina. A series of small strange gladiator spectacles exhibit nonsensical fun; a circus act using found materials, rope, and our own bodies which also show the need for physical connections in a seemingly strictly virtual world........ we hope to make some of the projects integrative and accessible to the audience. Situations will test the audience’s free will as they will be asked to participate in various acts that dictate what may happen to the participants. Some ‘favors’ simpler than others, i.e. holding a flashlights to light the performance during the evening, are ways to get the audience engaged without relying heavily on the amount of their participation. We want people to be able to participate to the extent they feel comfortable. Think a mixture between circus acts and Jackass........

WHAT WOOD YEW LIKE 2 C?

Yup its getting to be that time of year again, and I haven't even made it back to the east coast yet.

So just to give every one a heads up, I will be coming with 4 or 5 DJs this year plus deco for the main stage. I should have some black lights stretch fabric plus what ever else Kahlil and I can drum up.

Cant wait to see yall again!

Also, to clarify, there will be no turn down (lowering of the music volume), the participating event planners decided against it.

Quiet areas will be highlighted instead.
The registration/greeters will try and convey this but please everyone spread the word. those seeking quiet time (at any time) should camp away from Sound Town.

Just to clarify! While there won't be a turn down, every system in sound town will have to abide by a max db level that we'll help you set it when you set up camp!

Lastly! I would love to get some of the DJ's up in the greeter's booth to introduce themselves and let everybody know when and where they'll be playing!

And Scorch Send me a registration for Dream Time!

And everyone else: send me a registration if you'll be setting up anything big, or want your own space mapped out or put on the program map!!
