We are making a Space where all forms of adult play will be welcomed, with very few restrictions, based on health and safety.

But we need folks to step up here. We will create the space, we have a very large walled covered tent for general play, a smaller walled tent for edgier play, some benches and a fire for social/make out area. We have one table sturdy enough for moderate play, and one massage table.

Anyone willing or able to bring more play to our playground is encouraged to chime in here.

We are specifically looking for: benches, massage tables, slings, swings, St. Andrew's Cross, cages, and anything else of fun, out doors sturdy construction.

Hi Pam;

Are we planning to veil off our area near the road, and down the sides? This will allow for more area to be created as playspace. I figured out last year how best to hang the veils, so I can cover that. Drapes for the entranceway, too.

In addition to covered playspace (which would be great if the weather is uncooperative), a social space with tables, chairs, etc. for comfy sitting, talking etc. would be one area.
Another area would be a chill-out/cool-down space for aftercare, and other quiet-like-ish pursuits.

My friend has a cot or 2 that we used for set up last year; it is in my storage unit waiting for this event. We may also have some workings of jury-rigged kneeling benches, etc.

As I recall, was not some of the trees in that area used to construct playstations a few Body Tribals ago? Shall we plan on doing that again?

A cage was used at last year's Stones, but I have no idea who that belonged to...Farm or person. It was quite spacious, and if we can get it, it would work well.

My friend and I donated a few items that can be used for play, which are not expensive...sort of the 'toy bag on a dime.' If these are still around, we'd be happy to offer them.

I'd be willing to lend use of some of my more expensive toys, but probably only when I am there.

Is it possible to purchase some of these items as part of the Art Grant?

Looking forwrad to planning away!

The cage used at stones was just a dog crate - I can bring mine if people like. I've even got a big one that's the size of a twin bed (literally, I've put a mattress in it) but there's no bottom to it.

stuff I have that I can share or bring: extension cords folding plastic table the afforementioned dog crates tarps I've got set of spreaderbars that I haven't touched since they were made for me (never really cared for them) but they work - could even give these away I think I have a few extra collars that I would be willing to share, and maybe a leash or two.

already discussed with pam bringing the medical supplies - gloves, wipes, cavicide, paper towels, probably a basic first aid kit too. Anything else in terms of medical gear (from a care standpoint, not play standpoint - that's a lot more than I'd be willing to bring)

The cheapest price I could find for bulk condoms was here - http://www.undercovercondoms.com/display-product.asp?ID=256&IsBulk=1 I'm all for safe sex and think that this is hopefully -way- more than we would need and figure the rest could be somewhere that attendees in general could get at them.

for lubrication - its not necessarily eco friendly, but 'single serve' packs of surgilube or similar would probably be the best bet in terms of safety, and a gross of them can be had for less than $20

Sweet! Eric, I budgeted you 125.00 of our art grant for safety supplies, just bring your receipts for reimbursement! Also, can we run with the t-shirt ideas we discussed on Saturday, Pete is suddenly swamped...

Lusty Labyrinth Lady, bring it on...I'll be bringing my good stuff to be shared when I am there as well...

Anybody got hand cuffs?

I think we can do some rigging in the trees, but I didn't check them for that idea over Beltaine, but hopefully, there are some helpful trees...

$125 for medical safety supplies? if I get the 1000 pack of condoms I could see it going that high, but most of what we need (not counting the condoms) can probably be had for about 1/2 that.

do I need to look into lighting?

Eric,
Spend what you need on safety stuff, we will have some other safety expenses, such as a couple of basins, etc...paper towels...unless someone has a better plan, I did find the 100% recycled paper towels, and I can't think of a way to do this without paper towels. sigh.

Use the rest of the 125.00 plus a bit for lighting, if you are still down with doing that.

I can't believe that we will be setting this up in a week! I'm excited!!!

>> Anybody got hand cuffs?

Yes, cheap ones.

>> I think we can do some rigging in the trees, but I didn't check them for that idea over Beltaine, but hopefully, there are some helpful trees...

I think we can rig something similar to StA cross on a tree there, without damaging the tree. If someone has nylon webbing or rope for around the tree, I have chains, cuffs, and quick releases for the restraint system.

Zzapper!

I think we have both nylon rope and the ratcheting tie down straps to use for this project. I'm not a totally gifted free-form rigger, but I think some ingenuity will pay off in this area!

I also have a couple of questions for you...

For your violet wand demo, do you have a long outdoor quality extension cord, or should we plan on bringing an extra? We will be giving you your own circuit to prevent any electrical concerns.

When are you arriving onsite? We will be up this weekend setting up, and I want to make sure your needs for space, etc, are well accomodated.

>> ratcheting tie down straps

Great - that's what i was thinking of.

>> I also have a couple of questions for you...
>> do you have a long outdoor quality extension cord

Yes, and I'll bring a one-down-from-hospital-grade electrical isolator.

>> When are you arriving onsite?

I don't think I can make it for setup weekend, but I hope to arrive Wednesday morning, so I could set up some things then. I don't have any particular space needs, I think we will just have to work with what we have - and what we can shroud.

I also have a pair of gym-ring type devices on about 3 ft of rope that came to me at a thrift store for this :-) A strong horizontal branch at about 9 ft. would work well. Another thing, if anybody has carpet samples, old rugs, doormats, etc., they would come in handy for underneath these things.

Hi everyone
This will be my first time here, and I plan on coming thurs nite or fri morning. I can bring some rug remnants, a cot, and a very large clear plastic bag. It's 7x9, x8ft high. Just throw it over whatever for bad weather. Or, cut a door in it and hang it over a framework for more shelter. I also have a climbing harness and some rigging to share. I'm not sure what else I have that will be useful, but I'm not done looking yet. . . .

A great BIG THANK YOU to all those who worked tirelessly on putting Lust Vegas together! I felt it was a great success. Special thanks to Pam and Pete, and anyone else who constructed the physical space, as well as engineered the programming for the entire weekend!

Just because I don't mention someone's name doesn't meant your efforts went unnoticed...I may just not know who did what when. All told, it was a very special place for a very special weekend!

thanks to everyone who made it happen, and who came, explored, and had a good time!
