A camp dedicated to celebrating the intelligent warrior woman and her patrons, goddesses, and muses. We will have games, crafts, food, and other activities to encourage everyone to celebrate and create. Chess, combat games, scrabble, face-painting, hooping, knitting, cupcakes, story-telling, s'mores ... our spiritual path is bright and crafty. ~em with love, and in service, ~em, handy dandy theme camp coordinator

I just wanted to clear up a misconception here: we are not a camp of "femi-nazis," as indicated on the website. In fact, whoever wrote that could not have been more wrong about our vision. We bring cupcakes, not genocide! So please, come by, play a game of chess or scrabble, and enjoy! l'chaim |

My biggest apologies Lynda, I'll have that removed from the website tomorrow. Its absolutely my fault for letting that fly, I hope I can make it up to you! Ariel |

Ariel, Why not simply use the description that I provided (and that Em reposted above) when I submitted our application last month? I mean, I appreciate the efforts to make it sound more snappy and pithy on the webpage, but that's really not necessary. Thanks. (Message edited by lynda on May 15, 2009) |

You're right. The webpage is edited, and I can re-edit the Camp Amazon description to be verbatim to the description you submitted if you wish. I sincerely feel like a fool for posting that, its like when your stinky, moldy foot goes in your mouth, travels the entire way down your body to kick you in the butt. I am entirely reminded of how a word spoken or written in a jesty sort of way is offensive, hurtful and can be perceived as hateful. I certainly do not want that to be the way copy is read, or the way your camp is viewed. Again, I apologize sincerely for the mishap. |

Why not post this: "A camp dedicated to celebrating the intelligent warrior woman and her patrons, goddesses, and muses. We will have games, crafts, food, and other activities to encourage everyone to celebrate and create. Chess, combat games, scrabble, face-painting, hooping, knitting, cupcakes, story-telling, s'mores ... our spiritual path is bright and crafty." Verbatim, please. Thanks! |

Lynda- The Theme Camp page is edited to your specifications. Also, the writer of the original copy has been spoken to about crass and distasteful writing. Is there anything else that can be done to resolve this issue? |
